Program

Shanghai, China SkyscrapersA global megacity of 24+ million people, Shanghai is dynamic, technologically advanced, and fast-paced. With the Shanghai, China Global Institute, you'll have a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience first-hand the evolution of the second most important economy in the world.

Additional opportunities:
INTERNSHIPS - Students can participate in an internship in a variety of professional fields for credit. The internship is accompanied by a course called Learning through Internships.

Courses and Credits

Students at the Shanghai Global institute are recommended to take between 15-18 academic credits for the semester. Classes held at the beautiful "garden campus" of East China Normal University (ECNU), a top-ranked institution easily accessible to downtown. You will also have access to ECNU campus facilities and student clubs. Internships are available for either 3-or 6-credits.

As this program is in a non-English language speaking country, Merrimack participants are required to take a language course during their semester abroad.
